Community/Court Interpreting

Health Service Executive

Our 1000+ interpreters covering all languages spoken in Ireland are available 24/7/365 to facilitate ad hoc as well as scheduled appointments. For cases involving victims of abuse or torture, children, family members of terminally ill or deceased patients, specially trained interpreters will be available to adequately deal with the sensitive and confidential nature of the assignment.

Courts

Context interpreters adhere to strict professional and ethical standards and are trained to provide accurate and truthful accounts of the court proceedings. Recruitment and training are carried out in accordance with our ISO 9001:2015 accredited procedures to answer all interpreting requests in an efficient, reliable and sustainable manner.

An Garda Síochána

Our security vetted and Garda cleared interpreters are available 24/7/365 to respond to urgent calls. We closely cooperate with Garda officers to meet the legally imposed time restrictions for witness or suspect interviews.

Our response time to urgent calls for interpreters is between 5 and 20 minutes.

Where an interpreter cannot travel to a location at short notice to facilitate face to face communication, Context offers telephone or video link interpreting as an alternative.
